This depends on how close you are to your travel date and some other factors. Some vacation packages require payment to be made at the time of booking while some other only require a deposit to be made and the final payment is due closer to the date of your departure. Deposit amounts vary as well, when your STAR Travel travel specialist prices your vacation you will be advised of your deposit amounts and final payment dates. Travel Tip – Prices are not guaranteed until payment is made on the booking so if you are “pricing” then be aware the longer you wait to book there is a possibility the price you were quoted could change.

Why use a travel agents and do they charge a fee for their services?2018-02-21T02:00:12+00:00

Booking a complex vacation takes considerable time and effort, and if you skimp on the planning, your trip could end in disaster. A travel agent takes the reins and plots out your trip, allowing you to enjoy a hassle-free vacation.

Travel agents take the time to research every aspect of your trip. They plan interesting activities that all members of the family can enjoy, which should reduce disagreements and reduce time spent wandering around looking for things to do.

You may not know all the rules of the road, but a travel agent has seen it all before. Some cruise ships don’t allow babies or children, so you don’t want to show up with the kids in tow. A travel agent can help eliminate these travel tragedies.

STAR Travel & Tours does not charge the client a fee in most cases. We receive our compensation from airlines, hotels and tour operators for booking our clients. So, typically you’ll just pay for the cost of your trip.
